Batmobile Tumbler fails in LEGO CUUSOO bid

LEGO CUUSOO TumblerOne of our favourite recent LEGO CUUSOO projects has failed in it’s bid to become an official LEGO set.

Brent Waller’s amazing minifigure scale Tumbler based on Batman‘s ride from The Dark Knight Trilogy has been turned down by the LEGO Review Board.

No official reason as to why the set has not been approved, just the generic response given to failed projects!

By gaining 10,000 supporters, a fan-submitted project moves from the Idea Stage to the Review Stage, where it earns the opportunity to be considered as a future LEGO set in a quarterly process called the “LEGO Review.” Gaining 10,000 Supporters is just the first step in this process.

Another much loved CUUSOO project that won’t be seeing the light of day is the Mini Shop Series. The Mini Shops featured a small Apple Store, McDonalds, SevenEleven and Starbucks!

Thor – The Dark World LEGO poster

ThorIn recent months we have seen LEGO poster versions of The Lone Ranger, Man of Steel and Iron Man 3 released in the run up to the release of the films.

Interestingly though all of those films had associated LEGO sets. With no new Marvel sets due until 2014, the only Marvel product LEGO fans have to look forward to in the remainder of 2013 is the upcoming TT Games video game LEGO Marvel Super Heroes with New York Comic Con starting this week, expect a host of LEGO Marvel announcements in the next few days!

It’s very busy in the Parisian Restaurant. As a scooter zips by, inside the waiter rushes between the tables as the nervous young man gets ready to propose with the ring! It’s just as hectic behind the scenes, with the chef busily preparing the food. This beautifully detailed building is the setting for so many stories and is a great addition to the modular building series. The Parisian Restaurant has a fully-stocked, blue and white tiled kitchen with tableware as well as a cozy apartment with pull-down bed, kitchenette and fireplace. On the top floor is the artist’s room with a studio that includes a cast iron heater, easel, paintbrush and two works of art by the aspiring artist. This amazing Parisian Restaurant model even includes a facade with croissants, clams and feather details that recapture the feel of Paris.
