The Joker Steam Roller Review

The Joker and his goon are causing havoc in Gotham City with their crazy steam roller and are destroying everything in their path. Batgirl and Robin need backup from Batman in his fast and heavily armed Batwing to end this crime wave. Use the Batwing’s 4 flick missiles to disable the rampaging steam roller and then switch the wings to attack mode and grab the bad guys before they can launch the laughing gas bombs! Can Batman and his fellow heroes save Gotham City? Includes 5 minifigures with assorted weapons: Batman, Batgirl, Robin, The Joker and Joker goon.

Minifigures: The minifigure selection is ok… we get the obligatory Batman minifigure, a new Joker minifigure complete with hat and flag gun. One of the Jokers goons, a new Robin (with short legs) and for the first time a Batgirl minifigure!

Build: The Steam Roller is a quick and straightforward build. There is not a lot to the Steam Roller, the rollers at the front, which are 6 pieces linked together, make the vehicle look bigger than the build suggests. The finished vehicle is colourful with some nice touches – the Jokers trademark smile below the cab and above the rollers and the two flick missiles which have the Jokers face inprinted on them!

The Batwing is a little more complex of a build and the finished build looks pretty cool. The wings can be pulled forward or positioned perpendicularly to the body.

Overall 3 out of 5. At £49.99 the set is a little over-priced for what you get. The Steam Roller is quite simplistic and the minifigure selection could have been better, maybe an extra Jokers goon.

Assault on Wayne Manor CUUSOO project

Assault on Wayne ManorA new Batman project has appeared on CUUSOO and it looks pretty awesome!

Assault on Wayne Manor is a modular set which features a basement for the Batcave, two floors and roof. We are not quite sure how this would work with existing modular sets as none have basements, but the premise is pretty cool!

There are plenty of nice little features throughout the design click here to see the description provided by the creator DarthKy.

As cool a set as this is, it is unlikely it will ever pass the LEGO Review Board as LEGO currently have the licence to produce DC sets. Previous sets such as the fantastic Brent Waller Tumbler failed at the review stage for similar reasons.
