Arthur Sacek’s LEGO Lathe

Arthur Sacek has re-made/upgraded his 2005 milling machine. The mindstorm machine can cut floral foam into cylindrical forms using a spinning bit. The machine reads the design plottted on a piece of paper then traces the line to carve the shape from the foam!

LEGO paper plane folding machine V2.0

This is cool! So complex and pure genius! Said it before and I will say it again it never ceases to amaze me the crazy cool things people create with the aid of LEGO Mindstorms!

Here is the paper plane folding machine! A creation that folds an A4 sheet of paper into a paper plane, then throws it!

Made with 2 LEGO Mindstorms NXT bricks controlling the whole assembly line, 5 servo motors, 4 colour sensors, 3 touch sensors, 1 touch sensor multiplexor, 1 accelerometer sensor, 1 infrared link sensor, 5 power function motors, 5 XL power function motors, 4 IR receivers, 5 batteriboxes and between 6,000 and 7,000 LEGO pieces!
